PROBLEM
User reports that they are unable to send emails. In the system log they see the following error message:
Email log files show:
ERROR; EmailSubService; Init(); [E-Mail - Exchange Sample]; Error while initializing service. Error connecting to server
Type: Derdack.Modules.ModuleException
at Derdack.Modules.EmailModule.EmailSubService.Init()
Inner exception: The request failed. The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.
SOLUTION:
This is caused by the smtp server not communicating to Enterprise Alert. This could be due to bad Server URL in the notification channel or possibly firewall setting blocking the traffic.
