In certain Scenarios, the automatic setting sync most of the Enterprise Alert components enforce may not be desirable or even break your setup. Fortunately Enterprise Alert is flexible enough to disable this sync per module.
In this example, we will disable the sync for the SMPP component. This might become necessary when the SMSC provider is unable to support "multibind"
Open the SQL Management Studio open the Enterprise Alert DB and go to the Modules table. Right-click the table and select"Edit Top 200 Rows"
Look for the row Relating to SMPP and change the value for ConfigurationUpdateMode to 1. Hit enter to commit the change.
From now on the settings will not be synced.
