The current Connection String you can find under Enterprise Alert Webportal -> Setup -> General -> Databases Settings
To change the connection string for Enterprise Alert you have to change the connection string in 3 files. To change the connection string inside of the files follow the below steps:
- Create a backup copy of the .....\Enterprise Alert\WebSites\EAPortal -> web.config ....\Enterprise Alert -> logman.xml and ....\Enterprise Alert -> profman.xml
- Stop the ‘Enterprise Alert® 2019 Server’ Windows Service
- .....\Enterprise Alert\WebSites\EAPortal -> web.config
- Search the file for the current Connection String and replace the String with the new one.
- Repeat steps 1-3 for the following 2 files ....\Enterprise Alert -> logman.xml and ....\Enterprise Alert -> profman.xml
- Restart the IIS
- Start the ‘Enterprise Alert® 2019 Server’ Windows Service
NOTE: Not all instances of Enterprise Alert will have the connection string present inside of the ....\Enterprise Alert -> profman.xml file, this entry is dependent on current and prior version of the software that were installed on this machine.
